Tim Healy has joined Akima as General Manager of Ikun, and will lead Ikun’s expansion within the homeland security and emergency preparedness and response markets.
Prior to joining Ikun, Tim was the Director of the FBI Terrorist Screening Center (TSC), a multi-agency organization that serves as the U.S. Government’s consolidation point for known and suspected terrorist watch-list information, both foreign and domestic. Tim served as the project lead to ‘stand up’ the TSC in 2003 and then served as its Deputy Director, overseeing its operations, administrative and information technology branches.
He received the FBI Director’s Award for Outstanding Information Management in recognition of his achievements in establishing the TSC. He also won the Attorney General’s Award for Exceptional Service earlier in his career.
Prior to TSC, Tim also served in a variety of progressively senior positions at the FBI, beginning as a Special Agent in the Salt Lake Division and then with assignments in the Economic Crime Unit, Internet Fraud Complaint Center and Intelligence/Counterterrorism branches. His assignments included Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Intelligence Branch, Counterterrorism Division, Washington Field Office (WFO); Special Agent in Charge, Intelligence Division, WFO; and Deputy Assistant Director, Directorate of Intelligence, FBI.
Tim received a B.A. in Education from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois, and is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Flight School. He began his career as a test pilot for the AV8-A/C Harrier Jump Jet program for the U.S. Marine Corps.
